Moneka South Day Use
The place
Moneka South Campground is located south of the Waurika Lake Dam, directly off HWY 5 in Waurika, OK. It is about six miles northwest of the city of Waurika and is located within Jefferson County.This area is nestled within the Great Plains Region of southern Oklahoma. Beaver Creek Trailhead is located on the north end of the day use area. Waurika Lake offers many recreation activities, including fishing, boating and hunting. It encompasses 10,100 acres of water and about 12,000 acres of land, which provide ample space for visitors to enjoy the outdoors.

Recreation.gov default: most campsites can be booked six months prior to arrival date. Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT / 8am MT / 10am ET, but not always; check the facility Seasons and Fees tab. Some locations also offer shorter supplemental booking windows.
